EVALUATION - How did you use media technologies in the construction, research, planning and evaluation stages?

This is just a short video of me explaining how we used technology throughout our media project. the fact i have used this video makes my blog multimedia.

my input to the project

Me and sam both sat and planned out our plot and our storyboard, we then decided to carry on from our prelimenary project. we also mutually decided on the song to use for our video. I was the main character in the video and then we both edited the video, but sam can take most credit for the editing as he really knew what he was doing. i handled the camera on certain shots that i wasnt in.

From my open questionnaire results I have realized that our music video is good but there is room for improvements. Question one was “what did you think of the acting?” and the majority of the answers said it was very good meaning we wouldn’t have to change any of the shots we’ve done based on unrealistic acting. The second question read: Do you think there was continuity all the way through? Please state why. And every answer said the story was well played out and that nothing changed too dramatically.

The costumes were commented on positively as we looked like a real band. The question where we asked what the video was about created a little confusion as the answers were nearly correct so I think we will have to change the story line a little bit. There was a question: do you think there are other locations we could have used? And the majority said yes and that we should use more landscape shots so we will have to include them in our video. Also a darker place to set the mood was mentioned so we will give that a try. A suggested improvement was one of the shots seemed too cheerful for the plot so we have to film that sequence again.

Overall I think the audience research has helped us a lot and we have gathered enough information to change our video to make it favorable for audiences to watch.
